NOTE: This solution does not work on modern computers (eg pentium and later).
You will need to purchase an "XA1541" cable. These can be found on ebay.
You can then use the cbm4win application (and it's gui) to connect to your 1541. We have not tried this yet.
How To Connect Your PC To 1541 Disk Drive
You need two things to be able to achieve this useful exercise:
