Helicopters

A terrorist group have put an armed space station into orbit. The terrorists have threatened to annihilate American cities if the government does not pay them a huge ransom.
You have been selected by the NSA to pilot the X-15 space plane into orbit and destroy the aggressor's space station. This mission must not fail. The united states will not tolerate terrorism in any form, good luck Captain.
Hints and Tips.
The first and most important thing to do in this game is to write down the access code you are given when you first start the game it changes every time you play so
WRITE DOWN.THE CODE
Right got your code good now lets try and take off. Taking of is easy once you know how.
All you have to do is hold the fire button down while the countdown um counts down.
You should see the two white bars move to the right when they get to the end you have to let go of the fire button and pull down on the joystick. If you did it right the two bars should still be close together if they get too far apart you will crash.
Right. Now we are flying lets get to that space station and terminate them with extreme prejudice ( I think that means kill them ) lets familiarise ourselves with the cockpit of our X-15
You start at the Green square bottom left of your course display and you must head to the red square which represents the space station. If you don't take a direct route towards the red square you'll end up running out of fuel so always check your going the right way especially after you've avoided a missile.
If all you had to do was just fly to the space station you'd be laughing but the terrorists have a few surprises up there sleeve here is a list of what your up against.
Helicopters
Try and use you radar to work out where they will come onto the
screen so you can take them out before they fire at you.
Cruise
Missiles You can't destroy these Missiles. So avoid them by
increasing or decreasing altitude.
Once you have destroyed the Helicopters you can increase altitude to the cloud level.
Jets You have to wait for these planes to come into range. The earliest time you can down them is when they turn towards you. Watch your range indicator when it flashes you can shoot.
Dive
Bombers These planes will try
and crash into you. As they are so large they are very hard to
avoid. So kill them when they get in range.
When you've taken down all the Bombers you can enter orbit next stop the space station.
But first we have other things to deal with.
Satellites
These are just like the Helicopters so destroy them the same way.
Meteors
These cant be destroyed so just avoid.
Space
Station Congratulations
you've reached the space station but don't celebrate too quick
First make sure the station is in the centre of your screen
otherwise you'll crash into it. Now enter the code ( you did write
it down like i told you? ) If it's right you get to go down to the
space station.
You
now have to land the lander on to the space station push up to fire
your retro rockets and left-right to avoid the meteors. When you
get to about 300-250 make sure you have slowed down enough to land
safely.
In this part of the game you have to get your robot to the weapon systems of the space station.
To do this you will have to travel to each weapon system and while next to it activate your self destruct ( press fire ) this will destroy the weapon and of course your robot.
A weapon system is shown below
DO NOT PRESS FIRE UNLESS YOU ARE NEXT TO A WEAPON SYSTEM,
AS YOU WILL DESTROY YOUR ROBOT
In your way are various obstacles such as mines, missiles and enemy robots. You'll soon recognise how to deal with each obstacle but as you start out use the sensor indicator as you approach a obstacle it will move to tell you which way to move you joystick. Just copy what it does and you will deal with the obstacle and be able to carry on.
Try to keep pushing forward to use your thrusters especially when your going from one screen to the next as this will get you out of a good few jams.
Also try and keep moving with your thrusters. Because if you take too long to get to the weapon system you robots fuse will run out and your robot will self destruct.
Once you have destroyed all the weapons systems you will move on to the main generator and destroy the space station even if you've used all your robots. Congratulation America is saved and your a hero.
